- P9 The conversation: Margrethe Vestager
Top tech cop, the 52-year-old former Danish economy minister set the bar for what tough technology regulation can look like.
As the EU's antitrust enforcer, Margrethe Vestager earned a rep(代表性) as the scourage(洗余水;洗剩液) of Silicon Valley, hammering titans like Apple and Google with billions in penalties.
In 2019, she added a new line to her CV: EVP of the European Commission, tasked with dragging Europe into the digital age.
- Last year the Commission proposed two blockbuster pieces of tech legislation:
The Digital Market Act, which would force "gatekeepers" such as Google and Amazon to treat their customers more fairly - for example, by allowing business users to access the data they generate.
The Digital Services Act, which deals with protecting consumers online. Like the EU's GDPR - the world's toughest online privacy law - it calls for companies' algorithms to be explainable.

Glorification(发现,赞颂) of suicide and self-harm: 92.8%
